Aethon isn't a one-person job — mapping a planet never could be. We're building it so anyone who wants to help can: contribute to an engine, learn as you go, or lead a mission of your own under the Aethon umbrella. Different passions, one umbrella.
Four ways in.

Research
You have a question that needs data nobody has collected, or you hold ocean data that should be easier to use. Scientists, institutions and research programmes.

Build
Geospatial systems, data engineering, scientific pipelines, visualisation, full-stack. Aethon Intelligence is software before it is anything else.

Operate
You run vessels, ROVs, AUVs or sensors in real conditions, and know what actually breaks at depth. Early missions use existing infrastructure — yours, possibly.

Partner
Universities, agencies, conservation organisations and engineering teams with capability, access or a shared interest in the same questions.

How you're recognised
Work is paid when it is work. Where Aethon commissions something specific, it is scoped and paid like any other engagement. Where someone contributes because they want to, it is credited by name in whatever it contributed to.
What we are not promising. No equity, no revenue share, and no points scheme — not because those are bad ideas, but because none of them exist yet as real, lawyered instruments. When one does, it will be described here precisely, with its terms. Until then we would rather under- promise than describe something we cannot honour.
