There's a whole world beneath us.

The ocean isn't the only frontier on our own planet. Above us are mountains we've barely charted; below us, caves, tunnels, mines, and rock almost no one has ever seen. We're going to map it all — peaks to caverns — and uncover the history, the lost treasures, and the origins buried there.

Most of our own planet is still unexplored. We're going to go look.

There is no complete map of the world's caves, mines, and tunnels — most have never been entered. As seas rise, more of the world slips underwater every year, so our time matters.

What we'll do

Map the whole planet — and find what's been lost.

One living 3D map: peaks, caves, mineshafts, aquifers, and the crust below — navigable by anyone, free. As we go, we uncover the world's mysteries — lost treasures, tombs, artifacts, and the questions our own history never answered. The deep below us also holds minerals and resources; we recover them responsibly, fund the next phase, and give a share back. We publish everything we find.

Together, not against

We explore with the world — not in a race against it.

One country can't map a planet, and we're not here to plant flags. Any country can explore and livestream through Aethon, with every find — and everyone who helps — credited fairly. We'd rather unite to explore than fight over what's down there. The whole world, working together, finally seeing the whole world.

We will never map or disturb sacred, religious, or spiritual sites that local people want left alone. Some places aren't ours to open — and we honor that, every time. Exploration without respect is just trespass.

How we'll get there

Phase 1 — Map

Pull public terrain, cave, mine, seismic, and survey data into one open 3D map — surface to crust.

Phase 2 — Explore

Partner with cavers, geologists, and surveyors; send drones, scanners, and crews into high-interest zones.

Phase 3 — Recover

Responsibly document history + lost treasures and recover minerals — fund the mission, give a share back.

Phase 4 — Share

Publish everything openly, livestream the discoveries, and make the map free for everyone to navigate.
